Fiona Howard

Senior Tutor, Doctorate in Clinical Psychology Programme
Fiona is a Senior Tutor in the Doctoral Programme of Clinical Psychology at the University of Auckland. Her role involves the oversight and organisation of the clinical internships for doctoral students. She also teaches at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels. Fiona holds a part-time lectureship in the Department of Education, School of Counselling, Human Services and Social Work teaching on the Professional Diploma of Supervision. She also works in part-time private practice. Fiona’s clinical experience and interests lie in adult mental health, addiction and positive psychology. In particular Fiona is interested in approaches to managing stress and maintaining health and well-being in clinical practice. In addition to this Fiona has been providing training workshops in clinical supervision for over 10 years, facilitating workshops for many health professionals and organisations including District Health Boards, CYFS, Corrections, University of Waikato and Victoria University. Fiona is also on the Board of Trustees for the Higher Ground Drug Rehabilitation Trust.
